April like March had its ups and down in the weather so we took every opportunity to play outside that we could.
Caleb snuck out one morning and I came out to find he was building his train tracks outside. This little guy was in heaven. Trains, track, and outside... He stayed here and played for hours.
The kids got their first kites for easter this year. The are suprisingly easy to fly even with little wind and they have fun playing chase.
My little cooking helper. Caleb loves to be in the kitchen as well but is not as much help. Madi however has gotten to the age where she can be helpful and still have fun.
Aunt Jane's babyshower for Ascher.
playing with cousin Nona
Madi has a friend Max who lives one house down. They have yet to actually meet face to face but have a great time yelling back and worth across the yards.
a day at the park with daddy and bailee
bailee has finally mellowed out and the kids love to play with her. She has also gotten to where she will listen to commands from Madi. We are still working on Caleb's athority but its hard when your barely bigger than the dog and all you do is yell!
Madi wanted to learn the monkey bars and I am to short to help her.
This little guy is starting to climb and is so proud of himself when he makes it to the top. Now we just have to get him over his fear of the slide and well be good!
Caleb's girlfriend Avery and Madi's boyfriend Brandon. Avery and Caleb are 6 months apart, Madi and Brandon are about 3 weeks.
First day of soccer. She had her pink outfit all picked out and was sooo excited. To bad by game time it was so cold that we had to bundle up!
Practicing on the field
Madi and her friend Noah were lucky enough to end up on the same team this year. Caleb was upset he couldn't play too.
Coach Rudy and the team
Game plays. Madi did pretty well for his first time ever playing. She did get a little frustrated when she couldn't get a goal or when no one would 'share' (pass the ball) with her. At one point she picked the ball up and ran it into the goal because she was so frustrated that she wasn't making it in. But all that really matters is that she had a blast and really enjoyed the games.
Caleb got a nomas game for his birthday. He doesn't understand how to play the game but loves to dress up and play his trains.
'nomas and his bestest friend percy'
