Oh Madi...

I can't even tell you how much I love this kiddo! She has developed such an awesome fun personality. Everything is pretend with her right now and it doesn't matter if it is just air in her hands that have become her favorite zoo animals. She will play on her swing set for hours and it has been everything from a school, store, rocket, pirate ship to the latest a horse stable. In case you haven't guessed this princess is OBSESSED with horses, cowboys, rodeo etc.  She wears her pink cowgirl boots just about everyday and even though they were brand new at christmas she has almost worn the soles right off! She has become very helpful doing chores around the house, cooking new dinners for daddy, and "keeping a watch" so her brother stays out of trouble. Madi is a great big sister and it is so fun to see her and Caleb play. Lately we have been working very hard to get him to stand and walk, when we go to therapy weekly she goes to a friends house so that she doesn't miss school. As soon as she gets in the car she gives Caleb a kiss and asks how he did with his doctor, this past thursday I told her that he had walked with his walking a lot and was starting to stand on his own. She grabbed Caleb's hands and squeeled with delight "oh buddy i'm soooo proud of you! You did such a good job!!" It was really sweet and he loves the attention that she gives him. At almost 3 and half Madi is exceling in the learning department as well. She can spell most 3 and 4 letters words as well as read them. She now will "practice her books" at bed time and is enjoying the wonderful world of reading. She completely blew the preschool assessment at her new school out of the water and they said she could be ready for the pre-K class! I was amazed but we are keeping her in the 4 year old class for the coming year.

this is how most days go...Caleb can't go outside yet because we don't have anything but a 3 foot concrete step out our back door...they are playing bubbles together...

I love this little girl! I just wish she would stop growing so quickly...

Zoo Trip

2012 has started out pretty mild so we took advantage of a nice day and headed to the zoo. The kids were super excited and Madi enjoyed spending the day with Lys and her best friend Isabel. It was cool enough that the animals were very playful and fun to see.

Happy 1st birthday CALEB!!!

This little bugger turned 1 on the 22nd on February and he had quite the birthday week! We started by just letting him play all day on his actual birthday and he loved getting to get into sisters toys!

Playing with her baby dolls. He loves to feed and kiss them. Caleb is still just a happy happy boy all the time. I love watching him discover new things. He is also saying a few words including momma, daddy, madi, and his version of dog.

Caleb loves balloons so I thought for his birthday I would get him a ton of balloons, to keep them from flying away I tied them to his other present, tonka trucks. I thought it was super cute and he would love it. However it was horribly windy when I picked up the balloons and as I was taking them out of the store they all popped! (yes 24 balloons and i was holding him..) I replaced the balloons but needless to say he was deathly scared of them.

For dinner we took him to Ihop to eat his favorite meal, pancakes! Aunt Jana, and cousins tanner, emily and caden joined us for the fun. This little guy ate 3 pancakes, half my omlete and fruit!

 The following day we opened more presents and he got to try out his new music table and elmo walking toy. Up until this point he didn't really want anything to do with standing or walking so this was fun to watch. However this didn't last long about a month later he refused to walk or stand so we got him some new shoes and braces and now at 13 months we have a crusin' machine.

We also got his hair cut so we can now give him a cute mohawk.

The following saturday we had his birthday party with all the family. It was a fun get together with homemade pizza (another caleb favorite) and here was his birthday cake. Joe wanted it extra messy in hopes that Caleb would distroy it unlike his sister at her first party.

wow its been awhile!

Well I was feeling really guilty about the fact that I hadn't updated the blog with even Caleb's birthday pics until I realized that many of my own friends and family hadn't updated since christmas! I guess times just flies and we are all just way to busy. Any how we have been having fun so here are the past few months!

First my kiddos favorite dinner, broc/cheese/chicken casserole and rice. They beg for this and I can't ever make enough!
