Joe and I have never really been ones for big new years parties, the past few years we have had a few friends over but that is about it. With all of the crazy holiday and birthday celebrations we chose to have a quiet new years at home. We enjoyed a birthday dinner for my dad and played some games. The kiddos went to bed around 9 and we followed by 10:30, it was great! We look forward to the new year and the fun times it will bring for our family. I hope to be able to keep up with the house and blogging better as I am trying to use this as a journal for my kids. I know its late but happy new years to all!

Jump Street

Joe had a rare monday off and with all the family still here we needed to get these kiddos out to burn off some energy. We went to jump street and had so much fun. They have a great separate area for younger kids and there was no one really there so we had fun hangin out.

Christmas 2011

We had a great christmas holiday! With both families so close we get to have 3 christmas's. Christmas was on sunday this year and with 9 o clock church we chose to have a few stocking presents out and had santa wrap everything else. The plan was to wake up look at stockings and eat a christmas pancake breakfast. Well with zoo lights being so late the night before the kiddos didn't wake up until about 8 so by the time we saw stockings and ate breakfast it was well after 9. We went and surprised my mom and met them at church at 11! It worked out for the best as she was very happy to have her whole family there for church. It was so much fun to do christmas for Madi this year. She was so excited about santa and buying presents for daddy and brother. Caleb was also excited for the sole reason that sister was excited. Santa was very good to the kids this year and the each got some great presents. Madi got her beloved barbies and some puzzles, Caleb's favorite was the dino pop-up toy from sister. (she did a good job picking it out all herself)

The stockings. A new stuffed animal, books and some treats. We couldn't leave bailee out either. She got some much needed new dog toys and some peanut butter treats.

Zoo Lights

Christmas Eve we took the whole family out to zoo lights at the Denver Zoo. We had never been so we didn't quite know what to expect but it was SO much fun! Joe and I have decided that it is our new family tradition.

This was also a great night because I finally learned how to use my camera! My sister has the same one but she is much better at figuring things out so she was able to teach me! I love that I can now take even better pictures!! :)
